Blame Game - Part 2

This post is a continuation of the previous post, I'd suggest reading that, before proceeding.

Throughout the history of humankind, we have thrived based on information.

Collecting that information, evaluating it and spreading that for the benefit of every one is the sole job of the so-called Media.

Media has evolved during the years, from being in the form of messengers, to currently available in the hands of every other person.

But, over the years, the quality of information, has deteriorated.

Media, in this age has honestly evolved so much, that it presented us with the media industry as well.

We consume such entertainment and media on the basis of almost every minute.
We have become so much accustomed to this content, that, we are willing to forgo quality, for we only want to consume it every second. Even a small delay leaves us restless.

That is where they have an advantage, we are ready to consume everything, be it news, without cross checking the source.

The rise in decrease in the quality of the content has made our minds so addicted that we fail to give credit to the people who actually provide us with good content.

The rise in people believing in fake news and made up propaganda, will lead us to a devastating future.

I mean, is it really the media's fault here?

In the end, it is us who feed on such content. Media industry today, like the education system, is profit minded and with all those "who get's the first scoop!"

The extent to which the "Paparazzi" follow the stars for some news on thier life is horrifying.

Let's go through some traumatizing "news" that was provided by some known organisations.

A leading actress passed away this year, instead of mourning for her family, they started to broadcast the worst ways that person passed away. It was terrifying to see the extent to which they went to just gain TRP's.

Moving on, today, people end up following the life of the various unnecessarily self-centred people and it is they who made them famous, some examples would be the untalented singers and actors. One such person was awarded as the youngest self-made Billionaire. To be honest, she was born in richness and to a family of celebrities, which she used. The money of the family and the already existing fan base, was targetted. Thus, complete success! No, that's not self-made.

The other day, I was on a social network website, where in a popular magazine, reported this about a popular female actress,

"FINALLY REVEALED: SHE REVEALS HER FAVOURITE TOE!"

(Will provide source only if someone asks)

That is not journalism, and people who feed on such things, I have one question for you:
"What are you doing with your life?"

Let's move on to the things that is completely ignored by the Media.

Southern part of our country has mostly been ignored by the national media.

Some horrifying experiences, would be,

The floods that occured was only broadcasted like a week later.

The protests in a city, wad covered only after 3 months only because, of one incident.

It seems, they are only interested in things which create drama and unnecessary propagandas and fail to do one of the most basic duty, to question the people at fault.

When somebody, does question, people wake up for a while, and head back to sleep.

PS. I'm not saying every media organisation is at fault. I just feel the mainstream media should concentrate more on the usual information spreading by verifying the source, question people at fault and stop providing silly and unnecessary news.

And all this is done while everyone is silent.

Hope things change and people actually wake up.

Do provide your thoughts below, will be back next week.
